Dawn Martin Dickins, ‘Exceptional Myth’ at ETSU. Large scale drawing installation that features imagery of the cowboy as a means to discuss the myth of American exceptionalism.

@dawnmdickins.bsky.social ETSU exhibition talks about the myth of American Exceptionalism in the form of large scale drawings of cowboys. Using the cowboy as iconography of ruggedness, machismo, and bravado, she uses the manufactured Hollywood imagery to discuss the myth was always manufactured.
