A closer look at the logo change. The main goal was to have the Viking head look more like a human than the current logo. I also attempted to simplify the logo, taking out a lot of unnecessary details and highlights while still maintaining the general character. #Vikings #NCAA #Hockey #logo #art

A bit of a twofer today, featuring both a logo and uniform redesign! Augustana is one of the newest and smallest D1 hockey schools, playing in only its second season at the top level. From a jersey standpoint, my biggest goal was to differentiate them from Michigan. #Vikings #NCAA #hockey #art

Switching it up for Day 6 and going with the #Canisius Griffins of Atlantic Hockey! I absolutely love the team's new/old skating Griffin logo, and I think the old school logo goes great with an old school Montreal chest stripe. Then I went with the old yellow at home look to round it all out.

Day 4, we finally head back east for arguably the worst team in D1 hockey history, the #AIC #Yellowjackets. I'm generally not a fan of dressing like your mascot, but I have an exception for Vespidae based teams, gotta have those stripes (also, this is inspired by classic #Bruins jerseys). #hockey

We're staying in #Alaska for day because that's how the alphabet works. The Alaska Fairbanks #Nanooks have a bunch of pretty cool throwback unis that I combined into a unified look. This is also the rare instance where I use an academic logo that is a better sports logo than the actual sports logo.

Finally the helmet, gloves, and hockey pants are all blue. The blue away uniform uses the same overall design with colors flipped. All instances of blue on the home jersey are now yellow while all instances of yellow are now white. The helmets, gloves, and hockey pants all remain blue.

Saugus, Massachusetts has an orange dinosaur statue that's so beloved, when the mini golf course it was part of closed, the owner of the hotel that replaced it made sure to keep it and was met with universal praise for doing so.

Below the jersey are plain green hockey pants and above the helmet is plain white. The bottom away jersey is identical in design with an altered color hierarchy on the jersey and socks. The jersey is now green with white numbers and letters outlined in yellow. The stripes are now 9 alternating yellow and white stripes. The shoulder yoke remains green, but becomes invisible on the green jersey, and the collar is now yellow-white yellow. Finally, the helmet is green matching the jersey.

Can't imagine there's much of an #ncaa #hockey scene here, but I redesigned every single D1 hockey team's jerseys (and a bunch of #logos), so I might as well show them off.

First up alphabetically, one of two service academies in college hockey, the #AirForce Falcons!

The star described in the logo is placed in the thick striped of the shoulder yoke where the shoulders and sleeves meet. The pants are plain blue with the star on the lower right (the viewer's left) leg. Above the jersey is a white helmet and blue gloves. The bottom away jersey is identical in design with an altered color hierarchy on the jersey and socks. The jersey is now blue with white numbers and letters outlined in white. The striping pattern is thin silver, thin white, thin blue, thick silver. The helmet is blue, matching the jersey and pants.

I always seem to memory hole how terrible the Cavaliers current uniforms are. They deserve a much better look, so I came up with something that hearkens back to the last time they were this young and exciting (the early Lebron years), with its own unique flair.
Two basketball uniforms for the Cleveland Cavaliers. On the left, the white home uniforms and on the right, the wine road uniforms. Both uniforms feature the same general design: The angled Cavaliers wordmark on the chest with the number 45 below (worn by Donovan Mitchell in real life), a wine side panel with a gold, blue, gold stripe that meets at a point below the armpit (mimicking the shape of a rapier), and a collar that features a wine, gold, blue, gold, wine pattern that matches the side panel design. The home uniform chest wordmark is wine with a gold outline and blue numbers similar to the design of the team's 2003-2010 set, while the road uniform features a blue wordmark outlined in gold with matching numbers. On the leg of each uniform is a stylized C logo matching the color of the wordmark.

As a #football fan and uniform nerd, I wanted to celebrate the return of the #nfl (two weeks late) with a series: The Lost History of the NFL, exploring what if every team existed prior to the merger. Each concept is a division matchup starting with the #Patriots and #Jets. (Explainer in Alt Text)

Put together a #Houston Rockets logo and uniform concept. The logo and jerseys are heavily inspired by various #nasa #spaceflight patches and incorporates the Red/Yellow and Navy/Red color schemes worn during their 1994 and 1995 title runs. #art #nba #basketball

#birdsky has unexpectedly become one of my favorite parts of this site. There's so much variation in shape, form, and color of the various species, it's basically become an endless stream of inspiration. Below are concept logos for the common firecrest and the red-bellied woodpecker.
A logo depicting the head of a common firecrest facing to the right, emphasizing a more literal interpretation of "fire". The bird takes on the form of flames, its plumage curving and flowing into sharp points at the ends. Like the real firecrest the top of its head is bright orange. Its black beak and eyes are bordered by white plumage with the birds body a tannish gray. Finally, the back of the bird's head includes the yellow plumage found on the bird's neck and back area. The head is outlined in black stroke and a white keyline on a black background. A stylized logo depicting the head of a redbellied woodpecker facing the right. The head takes on a sleek, flowing design with minimal excess detail aside from a few sharp points to depict the bird's plumage. The bird's head consists of a primarily white face and throat with a red crest and neck area and dark brown eyes and beak (which has a white accent on the top half).
