In honor of Iga Świątek’s Wimbledon singles championship, I made pasta with strawberries for dinner. With peak season farmer’s market strawberries, this was a grand slam. Thinking also of tennis fan @vancegilbert.com and wishing him the best.

Esa-Pekka Salonen’s final concert as San Francisco Symphony music director was a fabulous performance of Mahler 2 with Sasha Cooke and Heidi Stober as soloists. The ovation afterwards wouldn’t stop until Salonen spoke a few words to the audience.

Last night we had a wonderful stumble-through for La sonnambula, which is our first time hearing the principals. They are fantastic! Some we've sung with before, others are new to the company. This should be a wonderful show so get your tickets soon.
