Native wildflower seeds arrived! I'll plant some now and some in early spring.

I obsessively checked the cocoon on my back door for weeks, and was lucky enough to see the butterfly emerge! I guessed right that it was a gulf fritillary.
A pale brown cocoon attached to peeling white paint. A spotted butterfly, still slightly crumpled, hangs onto the now empty and transparent cocoon.
