My lens is 200500 so probably late '80s. A dark day, will share better examples from this lens another time.

A sparrowhawk visited us for dinner, captured with the Nikon 800mm f5.6 Ai-s lens. S/Ns run from 200019 to 203004 according photosynthesis.co.nz

Some photos of Aurora in Norway using a Nikon 35mm Ai-s f/2 lens, early serial number (212712, the range went S/N 210001 to about 330000)
The lens seemed to pick up much less green than our tour guide (Hans Markus / Greenlander tours) who had a much more modern lens, but it did get the reds nicely
