Antimony is important test of whether U.S. can restore supply chains from shutdown caused by Trump tariffs at a time when production dwindled in giant Chinese mine & when China is dominant (60% of world supplies). Antimony is used to harden armaments etc & now scarce.

Lake Mendocino is the 1st reservoir in the Nation to get permission to adopt FIRO. The WCM gives dam operators permissions to store more water, or release more water, than under historical "only water on the ground" rules, based on modern storm/flood forecasts. 2/7

Trump firings at DOE last week were in Offices of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, Clean Energy Demonstrations, State & Community Energy, & Minority Economic Impact. Apparently they’re examples of “Democrat programs” he’s told us he‘d kill during this shutdown.

For an (ancient) larger scale context, back in 2008, it was noted that—after the Western mountain snowpacks—the sloppy snows in the NE could be expected to be next most vulnerable to warming. ->Map of historically how much of precip that fell would have been above freezing if 2C warming applied.
