Hello, my name is Marion and I am a professional illustrator and comic-artist!
I love everything historical flavoured with horror, fantasy or queer themes.
Currently working on a bigger comic project that is sucking up all my time so expect to see lots of that!

The background is a forest with red leaves. a gender-ambiguous person is standing in a simple grey background framed by medieval patterns. Dark blueish-grey clouds are hanging overhead from which a red arm appears from a glowing pink/yellow hole. The red arm pushes downward on the person's head and the same kind of limb appears numerously from the heavy, medieval cloak the person is wearing, grasping in different directions. The person is crying, their tears streaming upward into the clouds in an abstract fashion. Collection of character design sketches for two characters. There are several headshots of either character. The fashion is both from the 1860s and the 1830s. character design of a 16th century inspired fencer. The female character is clad in all black with a big-sleeved, richly ornamented top and leggings, similarly to dress from that time period. She has braided orange hair underneath a cloth hairpiece with a transparent veil.

Thinking about just regularly dumping some old art from my (now dead) instagram but worrying about ~style consistency~ and ~quality control~ cuz lord knows social media will make me fret about presentation while also making me want to shitpost simultaneously.

Wikipedia is still invaluable for research, a small thread 🧵: I was looking for image references for male court servants/butlers (specific to german nobility though) for my comic and at first I still got a load of Downton Abbey as results. Once I did a general search with the correct terminology,

Very first sketch of the main characters of my current comic project. The story is set in 1912/1918 at the grand-ducal court in Luxembourg. The main character, Victor is a servant there witnessing the social upheaval of the time, Cécile, his girlfriend and Émile, a soldier, are also involved.
