The budget bill Congressional Republicans just passed rips away healthcare and food assistance from families while rewarding the ultra-wealthy. In Maryland, that means an estimated 210,000 will lose health coverage and 57,000 are at risk of losing some or all of their food assistance.

16 million people would lose health coverage and become uninsured under the Republican health agenda the Senate is debating today, including 210,000 people in here Maryland. Policymakers should protect and improve people’s health care, not cut it.

Marylanders need #TimeToCareMD and #PaidLeave now to care for themselves and loved ones in the best and worst of times. With more delays Md. will fall farther behind other states, hurting families and our economy.
