Some might see this as ham-handed, stunningly embarrassing incompetence. I think they’re looking at it all wrong. Bari Weiss might be the most efficient CEO in history.

But now? I am not only aware of the segment, I’ve watched the copy released in Canada. I recorded it in case CBS ever managed to stuff it back down deep in the pit into which it chucked its journalistic integrity. I am impressed how well it was sourced and fact-checked.

If Bari Weis hadn’t pulled the segment to appease politicians with whom the owner of the network hopes to curry favor so he can win approval for an anticompetitive merger, I never would have learned about the atrocities perpetrated by those same politicians.

The Celtics is the perfect place for him. I was born a Celtics years, and am lucky enough to have vague childhood memory of seeing Larry Bird games. Larry Bird was my Dad’s idol. And I was raised, athletically, on my Dad’s Bird lesson.
