A 'don't buy, don't support corporations' day is useless--corporations know you'll stock up the day before or after.

Since CBS' cancellation of Colbert's Late Show was to placate Trump, how about a "Don't Tune in to CBS" movement--where CBS shows are not turned on or downloaded for 90 days.

Millions of Americans may lose benefits due to Musk, but that’s okay. Yet if Musk loses money when millions of people don’t buy a Tesla, Trump calls is illegal and hawks cars on the White House lawn.
When it comes to economic pain, it’s like breaking up with a paramour—it’s not you, it’s me.

In another instance of history repeating itself, Rasputin is back in the halls of power, this time with the Anglicized name Elon Musk.

Not following how RFK Jr. demands to see proof in the face of overwhelming proof (re: vaccinations, fluoride).
On the other hand, I give him credit for disproving the axiom that acorns don’t fall frat from the tree.

How going flouride-free has impacted one Alaskan city
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the new head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has said he'll recommend removing fluoride from the country's drinking water. Juneau, Alaska, did so in 2007.

They say history repeats itself.
For instance, a century and a half ago, Russia had their version of Elon Musk.
His name was Rasputin.
And history has not been kind to him.

We live in a time when mediocrity is an aspiration

In Costa Rica, Marco Rubio laments that China “likes to threaten, likes to sabotage, likes to use economic coercion to punish you.”

Hard to tell if he’s in front of a teleprompter or a mirror.

Congrats to Elon Musk, who in just 2 weeks has done what the robber barons of the 19th-20th centuries couldn’t—force government to serve oligarchs. Once, powerful companies like Standard Oil, Ma Bell, Alcoa & others had to observe the laws of the land. Now, the government bends a knee to the rich.

I find myself looking forward to Trump‘s tweets. The more he tweets, the less time he has to sign Executive Orders.
It’s like diverting a baby’s attention to stop him from doing something bad.

Typical GOP charge: the Christian bishop disgraced herself by preaching unadulterated Christianity.
The Religious Right is religiously wrong.

Trump in Disbelief as Bishop Calls Him Out in Inaugural Prayer
The Washington National Cathedral bishop criticized the new president as he just sat there and watched.

So if Trump won’t hold the January 6th insurgents responsible, can we at least get them to pay for damages?

Election’s over. No need to fake it anymore.

Per the LA Times: Donald Trump has named Jon Voight, Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson as special ambassadors to Hollywood in order to report back criticism from Hollywood to "make it better than ever before."
Ambassadors? More like tribute collectors. Kiss the ring or face a modern-day HUAC.

SpaceX just launched a rocket to the moon.
Remember that Star Trek took place on a united earth where governments worked together to explore space and extend the best values of mankind.
Alien, however, was an example of corporate greed and disdain for good judgement . . . mistakes we musk not make.

Just saw a sign that reads, "I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you."
Pretty much described my life on social media. Especially with my Texas friends.

I think “foreign relations” should mean more than Ivana and Melania.

I remember the old days when foreign relations were based on diplomacy and not reality TV antics.

Lyndon Johnson on the Presidency: “I believe that every man who ever occupied [the office], within his inner self, was humble enough to realize that no living mortal has ever possessed all the required qualifications.“

Until Donald Trump, that is.

Welcome to the new America.
In olden days, convicted felons couldn't vote or carry firearms.
Now, a felon will be President and command the firepower of America's military.

My guess is that if anyone can do the Christian right’s agenda, it will be Elon Musk, who will succeed in taking the X out of Xmas

Unintended irony in today's Albuquerque Journal's article on Trump's meeting with reporters: "Trump has spent the weeks since his victory . . . speaking with what he said were well over 100 word leaders."

Good that he's seeing word specialists. Now, if he would get help with coherent thoughts...

It takes gall to send thoughts and prayers when a mass shooting occurs at a religious school. I guess what they’re really saying is, “Sh*t happens. Thank you, God, for making it happen to some other kid. Amen”

The irony of Trump's tariffs.
U.S. importers will pay tariffs & pass on costs to shoppers.
By raising prices, the government (in effect) limits purchasing power & lets you figure out--on their terms--what you will or won't buy.
GOP wants less government and more freedom but has denied itself both.
