Boomers overall still voted for Trump, people under 50 did not.
Many friends of mine (in the mid 30s to 40s) are reckoning with their parents voting for Trump and indeed even telling them "I already fought my battles".
We mention it because we have firsthand experience with it.

If anything local matters more from a sheer numbers point of view. And often those people/amendments more directly affect your life.

I remember McCain using fruit fly research as an example of waste when he was running, which is clearly insane to any biologist.

I read this (in the print version when it came out) and was so thankful I did. Thank you for this education on my city and indeed society and politics in general.
