My third post today is really just some of the unique shuttles in her collection. I am wondering about the uses for those with the threads on them. Why is the configuration in the middle the way it is? I appreciate everyone’s advice and input. These are so cool! #weaving

Second item on which I need assistance identifying and determining uses from my great aunt’s collection is this single paddle. Again, what’s it for a what am I missing? #weaving

Question for the weavers among us. I learned to weave from my great aunt who was an art teacher. I’m now unpacking her equipment and need help identifying a couple items. These are identical paddles (?) but what are they for? What are the missing pieces? Thank for your help. #weaving

I did look. It’s hard to get a picture but the hearts are even more obvious.

New project finally moving on the loom. Ashford’s “Hearts” are so pretty, once one uses the fiber required. Sleyed a 12 dent reed 2 per dent since my warp is 8/2 instead of 5/2. Weft is 5/2. #weaving

My latest and probably last weave of 2025 is off the looms. I’m pretty pleased with how these turned out. Plain weave using cotton boucle from Jane Stafford Textiles.

Stepped away from the #weaving today for a new role as mayor of my small town. What an honor it has been be serve as a council member and now as mayor. Weaving will be my release from it all.

This may not be “new” to other weavers but a while ago I got a double shuttle. I’m #weaving a set of towels and want them all to be different. So, I’m using the double shuttle and love the combinations. ANnD the weaving speed!

Question for the #weavers here: I’m working with boucle and noticed a couple threads unraveling before coming through the reed. I was able to carefully pull the unraveled part through and weave it in, but wondering if anyone has a solution that prevents this from even happening. #weaving

I started some voice dish towels today on the counterbalance loom. And the rec room is almost 100% #weaving studio now. I will take over completely!

Checking things out on Bsky and especially this #weaving conversation. My most recent work was a baby blanket for my grandson on an 8 shaft jack my husband built me.
