And you absolutely can't make a good, secure software project without knowing what you're doing. If I didn't know Go, css, angular and sysadmin, the results would be terrible

I still get to do as much as I want. And I especially get to do the design and creative parts.
But Claude is worse than the worst programmer employee I didn't fire. And it doesn't learn. So, it's mixed.

I recently started using Claude Code for some programming, sysadmin and DevOps stuff. And I basically get to tell it to do all the stuff that anoys me. Like doing my CSS/flex/layout. And unit tests and copying and search-replacing my boilerplate.

They make the same mistakes repeatedly.
And sometimes they get into a loops where they 'fix' one problem, then introduce a new problem. Then fix the new problem by going back to the previous.
There is no learning.

As someone who is an expert software author, I laugh every time I think about people who claim there's intelligence in these coding tools like claude code and codex.
