If a government systematically dismantles critical institutions, causes mass preventable deaths, and shields those responsible with blanket pardons, should the world eventually hold them accountable under international law?

Under international law, knowingly depriving people of food, medical care, or survival resources—whether through war, economic policy, or governance failures—has been prosecuted as a crime against humanity. The idea that ‘it didn’t happen in a camp’ has never been a valid defense. (2/3)
