Seems to me what we have is the US Government meddling in private enterprise.
The Republicans, for the entirety of my 62 years have told me this is Communism or at least Socialism.
So just how does this move help the common man and the US?

I’m the furthest from a Trump fan. But the reality is that he would have to shake very hard to equate to the shakedowns of the unrealized cap gains tax and warren’s tax that were proposed.

I’d be ok with this and said it many times. It could lead to more companies paying higher dividends. Given that qualified dividends (most are), are tax free to the majority of wage earners in this country, I think it’s a huge positive. Exactly what I said to the Harris campaign
Or we could repeal 10b-18 and make stock buy backs illegal, like they were before Reagan.
