Shawshank is rated 9.3 and is *the* highest ranked movie on IMDb, (not just prison related). Wouldn’t be my #1, but it’s up there.

The Green Mile is 8.6.

American History X is 8.5.

None of the others you mentioned have IMDB ratings above 8.2ish, and I think that’s about correct.

American History X (1998) deserves to be up there, but it also came out 4 years after Shawshank and only 1 year before The Green Mile. Name of the Father was 1993.
