Nice! This bill, now law, closes off a ridiculous attempt via CO2 injection to get around NY’s landmark fracking ban, which has protected local water & air quality and reduced climate pollution.

VICTORY! NYS Gov Hochul just SIGNED the CO2 fracking ban bill. The gas industry will NOT extract natural gas from our shale bedrock by injecting it w liquid CO2 captured from…the new gas plants it wants to build.

Fracking=dumb

Together=insanity

I think a lot about this. In NY, we fund many of our local libraries and most of our schools through direct votes by residents of those districts. This would be the perfect funding model for our local media which is just as important. Can we create such a district?
