Now that Aotearoa NZ is reminiscing about going into lock down 5 years ago. Here's a UHF antenna I hobbled together out of fencing wire, chicken wire and other bits so that I could watch all the announcements on broadcast TV.

Without the right tools but two sash clamps, I was able to extricate this axle from a sticky bearing. Only took 3 days to figure it out. I tried all kinds of things. Car jacks, etc. Sash clamps FTW.

Not a bad way to pass the time while waiting in the car.

Is there much interest in this type of the before I chuck it? 1966 btw.

Son was in Japan for a school trip. Was struggling with gift ideas for me. So I just just asked him to get me something small, inexpensive, electronic and interesting. He nailed the brief by getting me the Otamatone. Can't wait to run this weird synth through an effects chain.
