@troyhunt.com it appears that the password to the Louvre’s video surveillance was Louvre. Too bad they don’t check first they would have known that their password was already exposed!

@theaifix.show I will admit I’m yet to watch today’s episode (will delete this if turns out you did!) but for the love of god this weird interaction with seahorses is funny as hell, I love that it happens each time too (well till they fix it)

@theaifix.show i haven’t worked with a junior in about 4 years, i really do wonder what it is like for them right now.

If we do abandon the juniors I wonder if in 10-15 years time we start to have SME’s take up the AI coding tools and take on programming responsibilities!

God the new air UI or whatever this jank is so horrid… why on earth would I want a giant blurry bubble around all of my media controls… everything is just larger with heaps of dead space.

iOS 17.0.0 is just going to be a system wide margin: 2px !important

@theaifix.show thanks for the great episodes! Some feedback *insert robot FEEDBACK clip from show* the jokes on ai taking coders jobs may roll off my back like water off a ducks, but there are likely some really stressed juniors out there and at that age stuff like this is likely really distressing.

@smashingsecurity.com listening to the backlog, your 2018 ish episode “Talking Bitcoin and Blockchain” if listeners invested $1,000 USD back then they would have about $9,000 to $11,000 now!

@chriscoyier.net @davatron5000.bsky.social don’t remember which one asked about hash’s in the URL but not server it’s just a part of the spec. wormhole.app uses this quirk to allow users to create a shareable link that gives the clicker access to the private key that was used to encrypt (cont)
Wormhole - Simple, private file sharing
Wormhole lets you share files with end-to-end encryption and a link that automatically expires.

@troyhunt.com great video/devastating hack by Simon Dean on how he was robbed of $500 via a gift card scam, he turns around finds the way how the hackers used an un rate limited endpoint to burtforce pins and after a month only now got a reply after making the video youtu.be/oBarXDL23hs?...

@smashingsecurity.com with the latest episode discussing password manager autofill stealers: correct me if I’m wrong but this is only an issue if the targeted site has a CSRF voln that allows js injection as all data inside the iframe is restricted as only same origins can peak into iframe dom?

@grahamcluley.com curious if the AI fix intro is AI generated or not? I feel like your the kind of person who would just pay a human to do it, however an AI podcast is likely the only edge case that would make me think otherwise

@troyhunt.com just listening to weekly #463
Bluetooth mesh as an iot communications platform will be a safe bet if you find another provider that uses it moving forward.

Only benefit of zigbee or thread over it would be that they are less chatty given their router/child solution vs BT mesh’s flood

@aggrend.bsky.social wondering if RDF attempts to balance class makeup of a group? Seeing some people have a hard time in OCE form RDF at 15

@aggrend.bsky.social played mop with my wife in the first iteration through and thought it would be fun to play with her again. I’ve come back to Arugal to find 85% horde pop now with numbers during xpac looking about as bad.

Is there any path forward here outside of rerolling? I like my characters

@smashingsecurity.com could have sworn that I had heard a Balatro potw, but cannot find it on the website. If Carole enjoys her 4am cribbage app games maybe she might want to check Balatro out. It is a game of the year winning poker themed roguelike deck building game for mobile and desktop!

Open source people: is there a licence that allows for the open and free usage of your code but restricts reselling of the code? For example let’s say I build a new open source tool that I then offer for free self hosted or paid SAS, I’m happy for companies to host their own, but not to on sell it.
