I went rock climbing for technically the second time last month (my first was a climb up a 15-20ft rock face with a rope). We did the via ferrata at Nelson Rocks in WV. It was a blast. I got to walk across this motherfucker

I finished a pair of crochet witch hat earrings yesterday 🧶

My current project: toddler mittens with dragons. The wings will be embroidered after the knitting is finished. 🧶
Two light pink mittens with wingless green dragons and snowflakes (or stars; I’m actually not sure what they’re supposed to be). One mitten is incomplete, and it is attached to double pointed needles. Both have unwoven ends.

Finished and blocked! I’m so happy with how this turned out 🧶

Honestly this might be one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. It was my first stranded knitting project. The technique is less intimidating now, and I’m excited to try more

Progress :)
A knitted hat work in progress is laid flat on a black couch cushion. An image has formed on the outside: a taupe colored 1x1 rib brim forms the ground, which is lined by the bottom halves of forest green trees. Behind the trees there is a turquoise river, and an orange canyon rock face rises above it. The rest of the hat is in stockinette except for a handful of tree stitches that are bobbles. The project is on bamboo circular needles. Strands of unwoven yarn ends hang out of the bottom of the hat, and the green and orange working yarn is scattered around it. Started my first stranded colorwork knitting project for a craft secret santa. I’ve been nervous about my float tension, but it seems like it’s going to work out. I’m really enjoying the pattern

While I was sick, I finished painting this phone case

Converting to knitting was a little more complicated than I was hoping, so I re-started with tunisian crochet. Getting used to the motion has been a challenge, but I’ve enjoyed it, and I’m pleased with the progress.
Mostly mauve rose Tunisian crochet piece in progress with a few rows of orange at the top. The piece is slightly lacy and the crochet hook is attached to the last row’s loop. It has straight edges at the top and left side, a curve at the bottom, and the right shows the beginning of a wide scallop edge meant to resemble feathers. Background is a navy blue tablecloth. Behind the piece is a cake of self-striping yarn beginning with orange in the center, followed by yellow, olive green, blue, dark gray, and purple.

Made the swatch yesterday, and I’m going to take a bit to get used to some of the more advanced stitches before I restart

After a surprise hiatus, I am yarning again, and I just finished the sock I started months ago. Time to speedrun the second one.

A few months ago, I ordered the universal flowering discovery set, and I’ve finally ranked the samples. They’re arranged from my favorite on the left to my least favorite on the right

Bought a tunisian crochet shawl pattern thinking it was knit. I’m trying to adapt it to knitting, and it’s going way better than expected. Even though the gauge is off, I’m not worried about it because I have plenty of yarn and it’s laying flat. 🧶
