yeah! also Benny pretty much stays in a coma for season 1 and 2, so in season 3 Steve and Eddie actually get jobs at Scoops to help Wayne pay for the hospital bills when Benny gets discharged

and before Eleven leaves to California, she goes visit Benny and says sorry to all of them

Benny doesn’t die! cause i didn’t want him to die 😔 (i’m too soft heart for that), but he ends up in a coma and Steve is reluctant about Eleven until pretty much the end of season 3, also because she says sorry to Steve and Eddie tells him to give her a chance

the same summer Wayne and Eddie move in with him and uncle Benny because Wayne’s trailer is too small for two people to live in

years later, when Steve is 17, he almost loses the only family he has left, kisses his best friend and also discovers that monsters are real
