🔍Here we tested whether EVs contribute to the inhibitory effect caused by the Cyanobacteria exudate on algae, and proposed that extracellular saxitoxins released by these microorganisms challenge the conventional assumption that these toxins occur only in dissolved form in the surrounding medium.
