Bikes, transit, housing. But also maybe going outside sometimes idk. Boston.
I told folks that illustrating your session proposal would increase the chance of getting picked. Not untrue! #tcne24

Yes! But not as often as I’d like.

I’ve been painting on pottery and am quite chuffed with the results so far!

Spotted a cyber truck outside the DC convention center just before the big transportation conference. If the conference parody Twitter account was still up they’d have something clever to say.
Too bad he killed that too!

My favorite visualization of transit delay is the humble stringline. Thanks Austin Paul for making one for the MBTA!

TransitMatters launched its revised data dashboard today. Tons of metrics to explore how the MBTA is doing. I helped with the front end and an awesome team of other volunteers did the rest. https://dashboard.transitmatters.org

Incredibly clever DIY marketing at Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont: a “selfie ski” positioned at the perfect self-timed selfie spot.

Despite being 94F/34C and 86% humidity, Baton Rouge has some impressive downtown bike infrastructure, including e-bike share. While I was melting on foot, there were still several people biking around. Don’t let anyone say that hot places can’t have nice things.

It’s my first week at a new job, but in the interest of not basing my whole personality on it, here’s some moss I gathered to decorate my patio.

I just drove my friend to donate his old piano in a very large truck 300+ miles to a new theater opening soon in rural western Massachusetts! We got a tour of the amazing ongoing efforts to revitalize the town through the arts. It’s first performance is in a month!

Love starting a new job and reaching the point where they realize I have significant side project stuff to disclose.

Oh, you want someone plugged into the transit space? Me:

The most impactful thing I’ve learned in the past month is that yeast needs warmth, yes, but >110F kills it. A kitchen scale is nice but a thermometer made a bigger difference for me. Also this book rules and sourdough is too fussy.
