Spotted a cyber truck outside the DC convention center just before the big transportation conference. If the conference parody Twitter account was still up they’d have something clever to say.

Despite being 94F/34C and 86% humidity, Baton Rouge has some impressive downtown bike infrastructure, including e-bike share. While I was melting on foot, there were still several people biking around. Don’t let anyone say that hot places can’t have nice things.

I just drove my friend to donate his old piano in a very large truck 300+ miles to a new theater opening soon in rural western Massachusetts! We got a tour of the amazing ongoing efforts to revitalize the town through the arts. It’s first performance is in a month!

The most impactful thing I’ve learned in the past month is that yeast needs warmth, yes, but >110F kills it. A kitchen scale is nice but a thermometer made a bigger difference for me. Also this book rules and sourdough is too fussy.
