Whole year was trash and then it finished strong and I'm super happy and hopeful. 😊

Not for long. They'll eventually FAFO.

Yeah some of these trends they're starting are super concerning. I take solace in the fact that because there are so many options out there it's easy to avoid supporting specific games or platforms. The indie scene is amazing. I had a ton of fun just playing stuff like UFO 50.

This is super fair. I'm not full on boycotting Nintendo (just key cards, 8bitdo instead of pro, used copy of Mario Kart, etc.) but I get it. Ignore the Nintendo bootlickers and stand ten toes down on your principles ✊

ZA has been so fun for me. Probably my favorite Pokemon game in terms of music, story, characters, and gameplay.

You sound like a bot looking to stir a fight for engagement 🤣

Typical lib nonsense. You know you can criticize a party and still vote for them right? JFC

I love the optimism but Dems have had several chances to hold people accountable and effect real change when they were in power and they bungled it. I would love for this time to be different but considering how leadership in that party treats its own superstars (ie Zohran), I dunno

This all hinges on the Dems actually doing something and historically it seems like a longshot

Yes but digital is always on the console and doesn't require cart swap. So if I don't care about physical for a game, digital is better. If I do care about physical then key card is worse because it relies on downloading and taking up space on storage and I can't choose software version
December 19, 2025 at 7:45 PM
...a game key card takes away the advantage of having a physical card by making it a digital version that you have to cart swap to play. I really don't like that and would rather buy the PS5 version or skip altogether. Also considering Cyberpunk is on cart, it feels unnecessary.
December 19, 2025 at 1:29 PM
...it doesn't take up storage space, can be easily lent out or resold, and you can use the base software version (if you don't like a certain update). Also guarantees you won't lose it if it gets delisted...

I thought it was self evident but I'm happy to explain. Digital and Physical both have pros and cons. Digital can be convenient since it's always on your console storage and you don't have to swap out carts to play a digital game. The advantage of physical is...

Yeah AI sucks can't argue there 🤣

This is just a quick google so I'm open to being wrong but is there data showing them as a success? I agree they don't seem to be a complete bust but things are great either.
December 18, 2025 at 11:42 PM
I go on playing physical games I actually own and digital games that don't require cart swapping.
December 18, 2025 at 11:08 PM
This as in deciding to not buy game key cards and voicing why every chance I get? Best case scenario Nintendo sees enough people doing the same and decides to encourage less key card usage for production. Worst case...

Living through that shit is badass
December 18, 2025 at 2:47 AM
I plan to. There are plenty of other games out there to play. I'm spoiled for choice. If Nintendo wants money from people like me they know what to do.

If enough of us refuse to buy key cards I think they will. I'm a huge Pokemon fan and I refuse to buy Pokopia because of key cards and I can't be the only one. I feel like this is phase one of them trying to get rid of physical media and considering how they handle digital media I can't support that
