Just heard of the passing of a beautiful and brilliant leather designer and maker, David Samuel Menkes. Aside from his creativity, underneath a fairly sardonic shell, he was a warm and deeply caring leather man.

Below is one of his custom pieces which I’m very fortunate to own.
