Day 12 - Working on anatomy and dynamic poses! #pixelart

Day 11 of my #pixelart journey, been experimenting with outlines and finally feel courageous enough to venture into the world of #fireemblem sprites. In the meantime, here's a mini soldier, strongly inspired by a cute little game called "Bad North"

Day 9 - FINALLY done with this one. I probably took on more than I could chew considering how new I am to this, but I am still happy with how it turned out! Still, I've got a lot to learn on anatomy, lighting and some other fundamentals. #pixelart #art

Day 7 - I got into history via illustrated books about knights and castles when I was about 6-7, and I fell in love with the aesthetic ever since. At multiple points I've tried to pick up art thru different mediums to draw what I found cool. Worked on something in that area today :)

i put games on my wishlist that seem maybe interesting but not interesting enough to buy them and then whenever there's a steam sale i click 'see games from your wishlist' and get annoyed that none of them are interesting to me. because im stupid

I started this as my first isometric #pixelart in 2020 and enventually made a small series out of it.

(Nothing for day 5, working on something though!)

I did a quick count and about 60% of the games I currently have installed on my PC use pixel art. I will never not advocate for stylised art being used in games, helps it stay fresh-looking for longer and is simply more interesting to look at!

Day 4 of learning #pixelart, decided to attempt Lucina's sword from Fire Emblem Awakening, with some liberties.

I am colourblind, and I often need a biiig pallet to distinguish between colours (too subtle for my eyes otherwise). I only shrink the pallet when I am done. #art #gaming

Still day2, but figured I'd try my hand at a (loosely self) portrait. I'll still keep my current bsky PP unchanged, featuring the best cat in the world (who just so happens to be mine). #pixelart #art #portrait

Day 3 of learning to paint through pixel art. Keeping things simple, I was drinking coffee and thought a coffee bean with the "eroge copper" might look nice. The background was a bit of an afterthought as I wanted to avoid it being just grey.

Over the next few days, I will attempt getting better at pixel art. Posting my attempts will give me that little bit of extra drive to keep going, even after my initial excitement wanes.
