Inspired by a post from @norwichgiant.bsky.social and his lovely 306, here’s some pics of my phase 1 S16 that I owned 12-13 years ago. This car taught me a lot about working on cars, more than I wanted to know if I’m honest 😬.

Remember, no touching god in the boot of your Crown Majesta.

Great spot this morning at the shops- a lovely condition VN Commodore wagon! These are rare as hens teeth nowadays…

Test drove a Crown today - such a beautiful, well made car. Quiet when wafting with a nice snarl from the V8 when you’re up it for the rent. Asked for a discount on what was already a decent price, got it then signed on the dotted line. Should be picking it up next week once complied and registered.

Ok it’s time to start looking for a new (old) car. Got a test drive lined up tomorrow, so here’s a hint. Let’s see if anyone can guess what it is!

Also bonus pic of that time my wife failed to notice the workers digging new water lines for the street and tried to jump the ditch…

Meanwhile in Perth, I am thinking of buying a convertible as well :)

First one I could think of!

Good news! The Dacia Duster is now on sale in Australia, wearing an awkward R E N A U L T badge.

😢

By lil Clio, we had some good times together. Hopefully the new owner has as much fun as I did!

I'm feeling like a TR7 V8 today.

In the finest of van traditions, I have loaded the Spacia up with all the spare parts for another car. Excellent “temporary” storage solution!

Recently update from iOS 18 to 26. Lock screen time display (and a lot of the rest of the new UX) is now illegible. Liquid Glass- more like liquid ass amirite.

Cool Bathurst stream channel 7, very awesome. I can almost see the pixels that make up the cars if I squint just right. I notice the ads don’t seem to have a problem playing though…

My sister just got rid of her Citroen C4 (dpf and ad blue issues, much smoke, trim falling off) and bought a Hyundai i40 instead. I have to admit I completely forgot these existed. It’s a damn cromulent car- spacious and comfy. Drives better than I thought it would. Heated and cooled seats too!

Wait a minute, does everyone have one of these?

The Spacia is now officially an 8 seater again! Unfortunately the folding seat had been pushed up against something narrow while in storage in the previous owners shed - so it has developed a noticeable dent. It has now been designated the “gooch seat” until it sorts itself…

Spotted something cool this morning. Looks like someone actually bought a Nissan Z, and in “Prototype” launch spec too 🔥🔥🔥

This is the best I could find. Spotted at a Renault track day.

Right I knew I had the pic saved somewhere deep in the old camera roll- here’s the bumper sticker that commits to the bit.

Inspired by a recent Hubnut vid and his enjoyment of a smooth inline 5cyl, here are some pics of my old Mondeo with a Volvo 2.5 engine. Was a lovely car, owned it briefly from 2011 to 2013.

I’m running Bilstein B14s on the Clio with DBA t3 rotors and ebc yellow stuff pads. Best handling / braking / ride combo I have had on any car I have owned. Can definitely recommend the B14s as far as coil overs go

Tried to replace the sway bar drop links on the van yesterday, only to find out they were the wrong parts once I was under it. On the bright side I found a present left for me by the previous owner - a spare key! It was wrapped in 2 plastic bags then duct taped to the sway bar!
