Inspired by a post from @norwichgiant.bsky.social and his lovely 306, here’s some pics of my phase 1 S16 that I owned 12-13 years ago. This car taught me a lot about working on cars, more than I wanted to know if I’m honest 😬.

Test drove a Crown today - such a beautiful, well made car. Quiet when wafting with a nice snarl from the V8 when you’re up it for the rent. Asked for a discount on what was already a decent price, got it then signed on the dotted line. Should be picking it up next week once complied and registered.

Recently update from iOS 18 to 26. Lock screen time display (and a lot of the rest of the new UX) is now illegible. Liquid Glass- more like liquid ass amirite.

Cool Bathurst stream channel 7, very awesome. I can almost see the pixels that make up the cars if I squint just right. I notice the ads don’t seem to have a problem playing though…

My sister just got rid of her Citroen C4 (dpf and ad blue issues, much smoke, trim falling off) and bought a Hyundai i40 instead. I have to admit I completely forgot these existed. It’s a damn cromulent car- spacious and comfy. Drives better than I thought it would. Heated and cooled seats too!

The Spacia is now officially an 8 seater again! Unfortunately the folding seat had been pushed up against something narrow while in storage in the previous owners shed - so it has developed a noticeable dent. It has now been designated the “gooch seat” until it sorts itself…

Inspired by a recent Hubnut vid and his enjoyment of a smooth inline 5cyl, here are some pics of my old Mondeo with a Volvo 2.5 engine. Was a lovely car, owned it briefly from 2011 to 2013.

I’m running Bilstein B14s on the Clio with DBA t3 rotors and ebc yellow stuff pads. Best handling / braking / ride combo I have had on any car I have owned. Can definitely recommend the B14s as far as coil overs go

Tried to replace the sway bar drop links on the van yesterday, only to find out they were the wrong parts once I was under it. On the bright side I found a present left for me by the previous owner - a spare key! It was wrapped in 2 plastic bags then duct taped to the sway bar!
