At least one of the 4some is a regular anthem singer in the Vancouver sports scene, and she’s very well appreciated. Excellent at what she does. And I can’t imagine she, and the group, weren’t aware this would happen. And, wasn’t there, but they would have been applauded loudly after Oh Canada

Didn’t love the contract when it was signed, but you could justify it with a growing cap and a couple PPG+ seasons. Definitely didn’t see it quickly becoming the worst contract in hockey

It feels like more than just a safety net to me. It feels like the Canucks don’t think Demko will last past this current contract, not as a consistent starter anyways
