I’ve just been on a three hour march in Toronto. Most people in the streets seemed supportive. There was one man shouting racist abuse at some protesters. But other than that, it didn’t seem very divisive. The point of protest is to try to influence the government. Not to sow division.

Protests are not divisive if you just let people protest. It’s the attempts to shut down and demonise the protests that cause division.
