I imagine this to be like two cursors on the screen, the left hand one is just flipped horizontally and maybe a different color. Maybe it would work similar to VR controllers to move/manipulate objects or 3D models with two hands

Season one is a bit of a slow burn but once you get to season two it really hits its stride. Just ignore all of the online theories about love triangles, they really take away from the overarching story.
