I think why she's been asking questions, why we only really heard about the missing motel when she questioned it, is because she's going to figure it out/"interpret the writing on the wall" and possibly predict whatever major event left Julie injured when she "came back" at the end or something else

My theory is that they might be going further in her name's literal meaning/origin. Dani being short for Danielle, from Daniel in the Bible. They've been bringing in other concepts in religions like reincarnation, prophetic visions, etc why not someone to interpret them?
