First draft is complete! Now the real work begins!

So, I hit a bit of a block in the middle of my second act.

I took a couple of days off, then I almost bailed on it and started a new story... it was rough.

However, I stuck with it, deleted 3 pages, and chose a different way forward. I put in 7 pages today!

It feels good to be moving again!

I forgot to do a Top 10 on my favorite first watches of 2024!

I was struggling with the length of my story for a bit. It was originally only 65 pages long. 🫣

I added four pages today. It's at 86 now, after getting some feedback from The Black List.

I like it a lot! I like that it's lean and slick.

You'll probably never catch me with a 3 hour screenplay 😆

I'm reading Lee Isaac Chung's wonderful script "Minari" and often wonder how long it took him to write such a perfect script. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I just got my second evaluation on The Black List for my script "The Last King of Mansfield, Arkansas". It puts me in the top of the list! I'm excited and terrified of what lies ahead!

Time to go to work on the script, 5th time is a charm!

I just put up my first screenplay on The Black List and got a "7".

Feeling good about that rating, and I look forward to improving it beyond that.

Not sure what it'll bring, but I'm excited!
