I’ve got the opportunity to write a short article on the environmental history of Yemen’s Kamaran Island. Sure, I’ll talk about fishermen, cholera, quarantine, British air travel, scuba diving, and everything from the Portuguese to the Houthi drones, but this is the icon i really want to include.
