I think the brief rise at the start followed by this collapse makes things feel even worse. If he had the club rising now after an initial bit of bumpiness there would be patience. It just feels hopeless now.

I had a similar situation and similar feelings but we just got a new car and the new features are amazing. Feels like a space ship.
