I was walking into the movie with a friend I saw the stage show with the first time many years ago, almost pleading with the universe, “I just want it to be good.” The cast and crew definitely delivered!

I understand what you mean about the split - but especially after seeing it, I can’t imagine what they would have had to cut to make it into one movie.
