The Havanese breed is originally from Cuba, so I named my boy after another Cuban: Ricky Ricardo.

Trump calls himself “King.”

This is real: An official post on Twitter, by the White House.

Post includes an illustrated Time magazine cover - that, thankfully, is fake.

We’re in deep doo-doo.

A “Happy Valentine’s Day” tweet from the White House - twisted, and real.

Like Dr Fauci’s famous Facepalm reaction, after hearing some crazed Trump conspiracy about COVID.

Even smart rational people who are paid to back him up can’t keep a straight face around Trump.

Happy Christmas and Chanukah Eve!

I plan to spend the day binging holiday shows.

My faves: Love Actually (2003), Elf (2003), The Bishop’s Wife (1947), and Home Alone (1990).

Yours?

(And NO, Die Hard is NOT a Xmas movie, I don’t care what anybody says.) xoxo

So, within days of the fatal shooting of the United Healthcare CEO, Paramount+ was plugging “The Rainmaker,” the 1997 movie about the systematic denial of medical claims by a heartless insurance company.

Great movie. Based on John Grisham novel. Directed by Coppola. Top cast led by Matt Damon.

Stop channel surfing. I’ve come to the rescue: “River,” a 2015 British series, officially a police crime drama, but more a psychological twist in your gut, of unspoken love and haunting memories. Exquisite acting & dialogue, unique premise. One of the best shows ever, and I’m a TV junkie. On Amazon.

Uncanny you should mention dystopian novels.

I just moved and as I was arranging my bookshelves, decided to replace my battered paperbacks from HS & college with hardcovers that could take a beating as I reread them ….

But you’re right: Even the wildest imaginations couldn’t have predicted this!
