Nathan Aké hobbled off at halftime again. He's been a warrior his entire career, and is fighting through pain to support City. Like Stonesy, is it time to let the man rest more and recover?

This begs the question if Vitor Reis is ready for a quicker introduction to the 1st team.

Ilkay Gündoğan has been much maligned this season for subpar performances by our standards of his history with the club. Age and form have contributed to that, but not today and in the last week or two.

He was creating chances, including clanging the post himself, and moving well in midfield today

Kevin De Bruyne. Endless love for this man. He's put a legendary stamp upon our club with his service. His timely arrival in the box sealed our place in the hat for the quarterfinals draw.

He blew a kiss to the stands after the goal. We love you Kev. I beg you to stay and guide the new generation.

A tip of the cap to Plymouth Argyle's squad for a great FA Cup run. And a big shout to their away fans, the Green Army, who are amongst the finest in all of English football. They travel with relentless resolve from the far southwest limb of England on the regular. They made a racket today.

Vitor Reis was cool and smooth, well beyond his years, in defense. His onboarding has been slow, as dictated by his age and experience. But make no mistake, his former club Palmeiras is a giant in South America with a very fine academy. He was calm on the ball as needed and made good decisions.

Nico O'Reilly. MOTM.

Obvious choice for one of our own. Nico used his height to great effect, scoring two headers from set pieces. A welcome sight to see City scoring from set pieces. Good positioning for both goals. His 6'4" height in the squad is a welcome addition. More playing time, Pep?
