Not only is this the loveliest of tributes, it's exactly how I think a lot of us feel about Lynch, even those he didn't pluck from obscurity 42 years ago to star in a movie. When I first discovered it (Twin Peaks, at age 14) his work didn't just touch me, it changed me. I remain forever changed.
