Everyone’s always talking about the Great Miami, Great Miami, Great Miami! 😉 The Stillwater River deserves just as much love. Only river in Ohio that is a National Water Trail & State Scenic River. World-class smallmouth; 60+ miles for paddlers; scenic falls

The Stillwater is every bit as great. 💙

You won't believe what we found on the river today! We think everyday is River Clean Up Day, but especially the day our entire staff get out on the water. Making the river better!

One of the world’s biggest trilobites was hiding in Ohio. In 1919, workers digging the Huffman Dam foundation unearthed a 450M year old trilobite — 14.5 inches. One of the largest ever found!

“Pete” now lives at the Smithsonian, but the story started here. #Trilobite #DaytonHistory #Ordovician

The Lockington Dam looks good this time of years when the native prairie is flowering.

🚧 TRAIL ALERT: The Great Miami River Trail near Miamisburg at Crains Run Park and south is impassable due to storm damage. The Stillwater Trail in Dayton near Ridge Ave Bridge also impacted. Our crews are clearing, but full access won't be restored before Monday. Signs posted. #MiamiValleyTrails

Your water has a story. And it starts underground.

The Buried Valley Aquifer is the source of clean, safe water for much of SW Ohio—and we work every day to protect it. #DrinkingWaterWeek is a time to reflect on what’s flowing beneath your feet—and the people working to keep it clean.

Beautiful day for our annual Riverway Summit and more importantly the Killer Brownie company sponsored the event and made us all happy to talk about rivers and community.

The river always brings people together. Great morning for a clean up on the Great Miami River in Dayton.

This Earth Day, take a moment to thank your river. Better yet, get outside and enjoy it. When people connect with water, they’re more likely to protect it.

🌊 Protecting water is protecting life.

Big high water. Big clean up. This floated down the Twin Creek to the conduits of Germantown Dam. If not cleared, it could prevent Twin Creek from flowing.

Still over here managing a major high water event. Protecting our communities 24/7. Just doing our job.

Good morning! It's Sunday, April 6. We've now closed a floodgate in Franklin and four in Miamisburg. In addition to previous closures. All five dams are storing floodwaters. Some locations have crested but some areas still rising. We're working round the clock to stay vigilant.
