The world if retro indie devs and players didn't have commitment issues. I hate that precision platforming with low stakes, or megaman, is the only way to have a hard 2d platformer in this day and age.

That's sensible, the first time I heard you guys mention a game called anubis for ps2, I thought you were talking about this, then raised the highest eyebrow in the world until I realized you weren't.

Tbf, I think that you can find some valuable insight on the gaming zeitgeist by seeing why games you like are critically panned. If you find the way game design tends to shift over the years facinating, reviews can give insight into why it did.

This is probably the closest I ever get to experiencing the card system as an American. It's a shame that for a lot of these older arcade games, those systems are lost to time.\
