As soon as Polanski starts getting regular television slots we're going to start seeing more green voters with unnaturally large breasts.

I mean, you're assuming he meant he'd take a bullet that had been fired from a gun, rather than, say, picking one up off a table.

Also they're pretending the filibuster as it is currently employed is an ancient tradition instead of something McConnell cooked up when a black man had the temerity to become president.

Also, if you substitute "disliking the English specifically" for "disliking the British generally" the issues also remain largely the same.

That's unfair. This demonstrates both judgment and prose ability that, on her best day, would barely brush the soaring heights of mediocrity with their fingertips.

What I always find incredible about this argument is that Ireland is literally right beside you and has very comprehensible politics as well as a very proportional electoral system.

Seizing valuables from officially vilified minorities on dubious grounds is pretty Nazi TBH.

Amazing that literally everyone comes out of this looking terrible, even with Corbyn's obvious attempts to brief that he is a pure soul, devoid of ambition or guile.

I wonder how much of this is the political strategy and comms types vastly overestimating their tactical proficiency over their strategic - e.g. the winter fuel allowance. You can't undo the damage by reversing the policy (tactics) so lean into the overall message (strategy).

You could argue that Mussolini's regime was in decay at the time, but Hitler faced considerable domestic resistance to key policies before the war and the regime backed off. The Bolsheviks were subject to the pressure of public opinion!

Hitler had to row back on some of his more evil policies prior to the war precisely because German public opinion wouldn't take it. And he had far more control than Mussolini did. This is just Tom once again demonstrating he's about 10% as smart as he thinks he is.
