No one will steal 50+ bases.

Context: there have been 3 players with 50+ SB in each of the “rule change” seasons, but no one has done it twice.

Solution to the “do Wild Card byes hurt the top seeds” question: let the top seeds pick between a bye or risking a loss in the Wild Card round. I guarantee 100% prefer the bye.
