There have been examples of very vocal supporters having experienced impacts (job loss,contracts pulled etc) & crying foul! They never saw it coming as it wasn’t about “people like me” but the truth is, it was always about you,you just didn’t realise it.
Anyway, rant over for now.

There’s an old saying “you don’t know what you’ve got,until its gone” and I fear that will be soon evident as the supposedly simple,day to day stuff doesn’t get done. The truth is that many of these people go beyond their job

However, something that has struck me with the hooha surrounding Musk’s slash and burn campaign; there seems to be a common train thought that federal employee = work shy/freeloader/lightweight or that they do work of little value.
(This is true to an extent here in the UK too)
