It was a privilege to witness history today with the inauguration of Mayor Kaohly Her — the first woman and Hmong American to serve as mayor of Minnesota’s Capital City. I’m looking forward to continuing our work together to serve all Saint Paul residents and businesses.

It’s unacceptable that 1 in 4 middle class families in the Twin Cities can’t afford housing, food, transportation, child care, and health care – basic necessities. Minnesotans are facing a cost-of-living crisis fueled by Republicans' health care cuts and Trump's tariffs.

Congratulations to Saint Paul Fire Chief Butch Inks, who retires today following 40 years of service. As Chief, he’s led modernization efforts, boosted staffing, expanded EMS service, and strengthened firefighter health protections. It has been a privilege to work together!

I strongly oppose the Senate’s government funding bill. It does nothing to address Republicans' health care and hunger crises, and it fails to stop Trump from continuing to illegally and unconstitutionally misuse congressionally appropriated funds. It's a bad deal for Americans.
