I’m no agriculture expert. But like many Malawians, I’ve watched with growing frustration as the AIP devours over K250 billion every year—yet millions of our people remain food insecure. www.linkedin.com/posts/mcbram...

Lest we forget—@LAZARUSCHAKWERA's 2019 campaign promises still echo. But have they turned into action? Are we truly prosperous? United? Free from corruption? Has the rule of law prevailed? #Malawi, the ballot was a contract. It’s time to audit the results. #HoldingPowerToAccount

A few years back, someone quipped that if you're born and raised in #Malawi, you die a thousand deaths before your final breath. Back then, it sounded poetic—now, it just feels like a lived reality

Bread prices in #Malawi are rising faster than my blood pressure at the checkout. My go-to baker, Bread Talk, just hiked their standard loaf from K1,500 to K4,100 in two months! At this rate, by September, we might be bartering votes for a loaf. Bring on the mbatata season!

Sifting through court filings, submissions, and rulings to find the story is an extreme sport—one that requires a legal endurance and discipline which I clearly lack. Which is why I’d never have made it as a lawyer of note. Ife koma zomwezi.

Kamuzu Banda's massive estate, Nguru ya Nawambe House in his native Kasungu, spans 422 hectares with 24 bedrooms, 3 libraries, a stadium, a helipad & a dam. A court battle between his family and Mama Kadzamira over his will has left this magnificent property unused and neglected

#Malawi fuel procurement is increasingly scandalous. A proposed deal by the state bypassed the National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) to permit the equally struggling ADMARC to illegally award a K650 BN fuel contract to a SA company is mind-boggling

Malawi’s fuel crisis has escalated into a full-blown national emergency, paralyzing the country. It’s time for President @LAZARUSCHAKWERA to declare a state of emergency and urgently seek external assistance. This situation is unsustainable—action is needed now. #Malawi

In my 28 years as a journalist, I’ve seen leaders rise and fall, but never have I witnessed a descent as swift and shocking as President @LAZARUSCHAKWERA's.

Still in @thecontinent.bsky.social, I celebrate the incredible Tumaini Festival at Dzaleka Refugee Camp—a groundbreaking event that unites locals and refugees in a vibrant celebration of culture, music, and dance. A world-first moment of shared humanity! #TumainiFestival #Dzaleka

In @thecontinent.bsky.social today, my story on the $320 billion claim by the #Malawi government against 3 global firms for tax evasion, under declaring and unpaid dues. If this money was to be paid today, this fuel crisis will be history. But then again
