Gameplay is a metric unique to games (obviously), but if it’s lacking then the GAME is lacking.
As you say, if a comic is lacking in what essentially makes it a comic, then no amount of great art can save it.

It’s when all the pieces are working together that we start seeing greatness.

In a way, I think it’s a parallel to the argument of what makes a video game fun and compelling.
It’s certainly not the graphics, and often not even the narrative, but rather the core gameplay loop. How it feels to play, and if those actions are enjoyable.

Honestly, DaVinci Resolve is about as solid of a replacement as you can get for color correction. I *think* the free version handles most still image formats, but I’m not 100%

You left out the asterisk from the original draft:

”*It was then, in what should have been her final moments, that her belt buckle finally gave way and her trousers unceremoniously sagged unto the muddy field of battle.”

I don’t even know how many times I got my parents to rent this on VHS back in the day. I’d watch it over and over again until it was time to return it every time. 🦆🏒

I shall grant you your wish by way of Eldritch magic, mortal Brian. You need but only to press one of the photos she posted to witness the twisted result of my unholy incantations.

but wants to feel that they’ve been “hands-on” with the final product, thereby impressing their superiors.

In these cases, the final client’s feedback is always invariably to effectively undo the changes that the former parties requested. (2/2)

The times that this has happened to me, it’s usually been one of two scenarios:

1) I got the work through a third party and they want to put their mark on it before sending it off to the final client.

2) The person I’m speaking to is a middle manager and doesn’t have final say (1/2)
