Claimed Sustainable Aviation Fuels flight emissions cuts are achieved on paper by subtracting the CO2 drawn down in growing the feedstock from the CO2 emitted when burnt in flight. SAF production thereby thwarts both cuts to aviation emissions and CO2 drawdown to 350ppm.
