There is a business fetish with efficiency - often chasing it as if efficiency alone was a magical power.
This ignores that efficiency is a 2nd order solution.
Effectiveness is the 1st.

If you break effectiveness by chasing efficiency you've lost what's most important

Articles like this from @infoworld.bsky.social seem to conflate "coding" with "typing" and assume that's what a developer does - as opposed to problem solving and knowledge work which is what a developer ACTUALLY does.
