If my posts annoy you, I’m sorry, I only speak the truth.
Americans need to fucking do something.

It’s legitimately getting scary that the US has let an economically illiterate mad man crash the world economy.

Where are your checks and balances? This has gone beyond a joke.

“Beginning” I’ve been tired for the last several years. Brief respite in 2017 when I thought the madness was over but this arsehole is on the news every day.

I like you guys but stuff like this makes liberals look like such pansys. Fight against these guys properly. You have a platform stop pandering to your base with this shite.

Modern Sinn Fein was founded around 1970. Pre war of independence Sinn Fein split into Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.

Both parties originated in the north and are Irish unity. And there was definitely a gap for a more left of centre Irish Republican Party, without baggage…

Martin would never and to be fair their supporters transferred heavily between each other so anything but an FFG coalition will be a betrayal to what the majority of their supporters wanted.

Best bet is that Martin leaves before next election and then FF goes into government with SF.

The moved but never deregistered is the main one for me. I think we would be looking at an increase of 4/5% in turnout if the registrars were up to date.

Would be interested to see a study.

Their supporters would be in uproar if FF did that considering the strong transfers between the two parties.

Yeah, fascist history aside, you can argue that their history has been one of being the grown ups in the dáil. Fitzgerald to Kenny etc.

Cleaning up the mess of successive FF governments and making difficult decisions.

This is all my perspective and likely wrong ha

Probably time to go now though

Always happy to see Hume mentioned.

Any idea why SDLP never strived to be an all Ireland party like SF?

Feel like they would have been more successful than SF.

I always saw FF as malleable. When the country wanted tax cuts they gave tax cuts when the country wanted more spending they did spending. Pure centrist a person argued with me that they were centre leftish.

FG are pure centre right.

Did I say everything is fantastic? It’s better than it was 10 years ago. The economy is strong, if you saw the suffering in the 80s or during the crash you would be a liar to say there hasn’t been progress.

There are problems to fix as does every country but we haven’t upended the system to fix it

SDLP are a northern Irish party not a southern Irish party? And they never split… Soc dems was founded by independents one who’s now just lost their seat for Fianna Fáil

Pension funds do this and I agree there needs to be regulation on how many they can buy. However, sometimes they are better than private landlords as they tend to follow all regulations and are easier for tenants to get stuff done. For example no cash in hand jobs anything broke they will fix etc
