Now, that's an economic plan I can appreciate 🙌🏻

Shut it down. Rep. Thomas Massie got a huge support bump on X for voting NO to the CR. If the Bill goes back to the House, then a few more Republicans might grow a pair just for the positive attention. Otherwise, make 'em work for it.

Trump & Elon must have known this CR would wipe out any meaningful savings DOGE is supposedly clawing back from the Federal bureaucracy. So, you have to ask yourself, what's the real agenda behind DOGE and the Trump | Elon partnership?

Meanwhile, Trump pretends to buy a luxury Tesla in an ad-stunt in front of the White House, paid for in campaign contributions by Elon last Fall. The irony is absurd, especially when the stock market is tanking and ordinary Americans are struggling to afford the high-and-rising cost of living.

DOGE be damned. Trump & Elon clearly never intended their DOGE antics to reach the BOTTOM LINE. This hard fact renders DOGE utterly meaningless in terms of its stated purpose. Rep. Massie continues, "I cannot vote for a bill that...keeps the deficit over $1 trillion.”
March 12, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Did you catch that? "...allows the federal government to spend MORE money than it did last year." Where are the DOGE savings IN THE BUDGET?? This is a simple concept that Trump & Elon are counting on you to overlook: A LARGER Congressional Budget creates a BIGGER TAX BURDEN for you and me.

...instead of pressuring Congress to RAISE the debt by another 11%. According to Rep. Massie, “This [CR] perpetuates an unbalanced budget, and allows the federal government to spend more money than it did last year."

Trump sycophants keep parroting the duplicitous talking points of Trump & Elon. Talk is cheap. If Trump were serious about rooting out "waste, fraud and abuse," then he would have presented a plan to Congress that slashed wasteful spending FROM THE CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET...

To make matters worse, yesterday Trump called for voters to "primary" the ONLY GOP Congressman, Rep. Thomas Massie, who stood in opposition to the proposed Bill on this core principle: Congress MUST prioritize debt reduction, and stop the wasteful, runaway spending.
